Hummus Restaurants and cafe in New York

Q.Where can I find hummus in New York?

A Easy! You can find hummus anywhere. Visit vegetarian restaurants, vegan restaurants, middle easetern restaurants, or mediterranean restaurants. They have different kinds of hummus, and you can enjoy all of them!

I recommend high quality restaurants. They always have good hummus. Cheap deli or cafe sometimes have good, but that's rare.

Pita City Falafel Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

Pita City Falafel 180 7th Ave. Btwn 20th and 21st

This hummus is the best in New York! The owner gave me this special plate for me! Tabuli( salad ), tomato, pesely, cucumber, and couscous. Hummus is very simple but tastes good! No garlic. The pita bread is very warm and chewy. I love all of the! I'll never forget the taste!

You'll never find better hummus than this place with cheaper price! I believe best hummus in New York is Pita City Falafel!

My Best Hummus in New York!

HK Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

523 9th Ave At 39th St

This plate comes with hummus, babaganush(eggplant),sour cream, and flat bread! The top is papulica. I liked the black olives, too!

When I first went there with my friends, they had no hummus for brunch. I talked with the staff that I came to the restaurant for hummus, and when I went there next time, they remember me and served hummus before I orderd! Great service!!(laugh)

Dano Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

254 5th Ave Btwn 28th & 29th St

Cool restaurant. Busy around lunch time. Hummus had garlic taste. I liked other root vegetables better for hummus. Only lettuce is too weak for hummus. I think the pita bread is good. Bread is one of the most important part for hummus!

Candle Cafe Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

1307 3rd Ave At 75th St

Candle Cafe is one of the famous vegan restaurant in New York. They had unique hummus, orange color! The staff said they put tarmeric in hummus, and that makes it yellowish. With persely, tabuli, and babaganuish!

At vegan or vegetarian restaurants, they have hummus for appetizer not for main dish. But hummus is volumy, so I recommend you to share with friends!

The Pump(Healthy Food) Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

38th, btwn 6th Ave & Broadway

Healthy Cafe for athlets. You will see many autographs of cerebs. They start cooking when they get order, so the food is very fresh and warm! They cook fresh vegetables too. The hummus with garlic made me very energetic!!

Pita Hut (Middle Eastern) Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

23rd st. Btwn 7th & 8th Ave

Creamy hummus with tomato, sliced lettuce and pita bread. Too much hummus. I could feel the gravity...(laugh) The seasoning was very simple. Not spicy.

I realized Kosher food has very plain hummus. I guess it's because of the religion..not sure though. I like spicy hummus better.

By the fashion industry institute, and the cafe is packed with the students. The hummus is a rap style with lettuce, tomato, and carrot. Hummus was too plain.

You can enjoy watching people. They are fashionable. I just pretended to be a student. That was fun!

Karam Restaurant Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

8519-4th Ave Brooklyn, NY 11209

This hummus had lots of tahini. I didn't like the pita bread because it was dry. The persely looked good. I really think freshness is the most important thing!

SAHARA GRILL Hummus Restaurant! Hummus Cafe!

513 2nd Ave Btwn 28th & 29th

When I went there, they were not ready yet. I just got hummus and pita bread. I was supposed to get tomato and cucumber. I guess they use canned chickpeas, not boiled ones.
It's easy to find hummus in New York, but it's not to find good ones. Enjoy your food trip, and if you find good ones, you are so lucky! If you can't, you are still lucky because you still lot of possibilities to see great hummus in the world!! Don't you think so?
