Eco Life

I know tiny things can change everyday life better for you and the environment. Very easy and small things, but they work! A year is made of many days, and the day is made of many hours! So just change a little tiny things, and your life will get better! Just carry on, and you will find it soon!

By the way, hummus can change your life better, too. It's because hummus can be replace for meat which has rich protein human needs. Beans are more economical to cultivate than meat. It is invisible, but it is a fact. Beans, called meat of farms, are healthy and delicious! If you keep eating healthy and good food, your body and your mind will be fine too!

Remind you of the most important thing, enjoy it! Don't take it so seriouos. You can do little by little. You'll find good ideas. Let's think of eco life together, and share it all!

The world is really beautiful? Or rarely?

1.Ito En

I love Ito En, one of the biggest beverage companies in Japan. Why? Because they have good products. They have natural stuff. Now in Japan, many people have started to care about thier health, but I think it too much. They say, "Vitamin" or "Katekin" etc, but I doubt if old people did care about those. The old knew what kind of food were good for health. They could tell from their instinct, maybe by smell, taste, visual... They were more sensitive in a good way.
In general, people believe results of scientific reserch easily, but I think that itself can be wrong. I think the problem is our lifestyle such as diet or too much stress or neglect of exercise, not lack of knowledge of scientific or chemical terms. If you believe you must be healthy just because you take supplement, it might be better to rethink of your lifestyle. Ito en always produce natural, conservative, traditional, and simple beverage. That's why I like their products.

One of my recommendation is Jasmine Tea. Smells good! Milk Tea is also good. Most milk tea is too sweet, but Ito en's one is perfect.

Actually, I don't often buy beverage.I don't wanna increase wastes, cans or bottles. I make teas or drink at home, and carry it in my bottle. I emailed Itoen customer service the otherday, and I asked if they are planning to sell only content, not with bottles or cans, but they said, "No". Oh, well, that's fine. I can just make by myself. That's more fun and cheaper anyway!

Smells good! Looks nice!
2.No bag, please!

I don't really need plastic bags for shopping. Of course, I need one if I have no bags, but I realized I didn't need it.
Everytime I say "No bag." at cashers, they say, "Appreciate it.(Polite "Thank you"Or "Sorry" in Japanese. Sorry can be thank you in Japanese.)" I always feel, "Oh, that's not a big deal. Just a little thing, so you don't need to be so polite to me".(I know they say as a greeting though.) But I feel better when I do that! I feel better than
when they just say,"Thank you for shopping!"
When you refuse bags, cashers can deal with cheking more quickly, no wastes, no trash...good! That's why they say, "Appreciate it!"??
Let's have your own ECO bag! It doesn't have to be "Kinokuniya", one of richest grocery stores, like "Whole Foods" in the US. You can use a plastic bag for the eco bag! I have mine, a cotton bag from Cafe Eight, a vegan restaurant where I had been working for before just because I loved their hummus!! (Not kidding). I will use it forever because I love it!

Why do we need plastic bags??
3.Body Painting

I used to love nail painting, but not now because I realized my nails couldn't breath! In addition, people could eat nail polishes eating food which I cook with polished nails(disgusting!) I don't wanna make people sick. In fact, any chelves have clean hands. I just realized thier hands are more beautiful than hands with nailpolishes. That's why I stopped nail painting.
Although I don't do nail art any more, I still sometimes think nail painting is cute. I don't really like too much painting with too long nails, but I think clear or gradation colors are beautiful. I also liked nail art because that was a kind of creation!

Then, how can I enjoy the creation while I wanna keep hands clean like a chelf? I came up with body painting! Body painting won't ruin food when I cook, and I can enjoy painting, and it will look cool, too! A body is much bigger than a nail, which is one of the advantafe, I think.

One thing that I wanna think at first, is why people wanna decorate themselves with makeup, pierce, tatoo, and so on. I heard people did so in order to show they are healthy enough to give birth to children. (Piercing hurts a skin, so people with pierces must be strong against germs, like that.) Most people just do makeup, nail art, piercing, and tatoo without any special reasons, but our instinct has the reason! With the knowledge I wanna enjoy body painting. I have already known what to do for me...just show I am healthy, and my instinct will be satisfied! I don't really have to hurt myself to feel cool!

4.Private Vegetable Gardening?

spring is a good chance for gardening! Last year, I tried to raise Edamame at my plce, but I didn't sow that much, and I could get small quantity...like an apetizer at a bar.
I raised herbs before. Bazil was eaten by a cawl...poor. Apple mint was very easy! But I had no idea how to cook. All I did was just smelling...so bad(ha ha ha)
But this time is different! I sowed a lot of seeds of Edamame. I hope I can get more than last year.

Let's try private vegetable gardening! You can get soils and seeds at stores or farmers if you know somebody. Farmers will support you because they love cultivating! Let's enjoy gardening together!
